@cabooseadventures

The answer to whether or not a Scamp trailer has a bathroom is not an easy yes or no answer, as some Scamps do while others do not.

All Scamp trailers including the 13, 16, and 19-foot models have an optional wet bath that is included on certain floorplans.  Because of this, it is possible for each Scamp trailer to have a bathroom but it does not come standard on all floorplans.

What Kind of Bathroom Does a Scamp Trailer Have?

Skip to the 3:20 mark on the video to see what a typical Scamp bathroom looks like.

All scamp trailers that include the optional bathroom, have a three-piece wet bath that includes a  fiberglass shower, a small molded fiberglass sink, and a standard RV toilet connected to a black water tank.

The bathroom in a Scamp trailer is very compact and small with only about 5 feet 10 inches in ceiling height and a width of about 2 feet.

However, they do get the job done and it’s certainly better than not having one at all.

If you’re looking for a large dry bath though, you’re out of luck with Scamp trailers.

As none of the Scamp trailers from the smallest to the largest have a dry bath.

What is the Smallest Trailer with a Bathroom?

As is the case with most teardrop trailers being one of the smallest trailers you can buy.

@scampthenorth

Quick Specs

  • Cost:  $15,000
  • Length: 13 Feet
  • Dry Weight:  1,500 Pounds
  • Type of Bathroom:  Wet Bath

The smallest trailer you can buy with a bathroom by far is the Scamp 13-foot trailer.

As Scamp managed to squeeze a small wet bath in the front of this trailer that includes a shower, a toilet, and a small sink.

And while there is nothing spacious about the bathroom, as you can imagine, in such a small trailer.

There is enough room to take a quick shower when getting ready in the morning.

Keep in mind though that the 13-foot Scamp trailer does not always have a bathroom.

As there are two different floorplans you can choose from including one with a small wet bath and another that includes a small couch that converts to bunk beds allowing the small camper to sleep 4.

Which also happens to be one of their most popular trailers, thanks to its full functionality and small nimble size.

The bathroom itself in the trailer is pretty small, as is to be expected but it has everything you would need and want including a shower, a toilet, and a small sink.

And instead of opting for the standard RV toilet connected to a black, tank nuCamp choose to go with a cassette toilet, which provides a lot more flexibility when it comes to camping and boondocking.

Quick Specs

  • Cost:  $18,000
  • Length: 15 Feet 10 Inches
  • Dry Weight:  2,608 Pounds
  • Type of Bathroom:  Wet Bath

Forest River makes a huge line of travel trailers to choose from but one of the smallest lines of campers they make is the E-Pro series which includes 13 different models ranging in length from 11 feet to 21 feet.

But one of the smallest campers they make that still includes a bathroom is the E-Pro E15TB which has an overall length of just 15 feet 10 inches and a dry weight of only 2,608 pounds.

Like most small travel trailers with a bathroom, this small trailer from Forest River has a compact wet bath that has a shower as well as a toilet.

However, this particular camper only has a two-piece wet bath with no bathroom sink, requiring you to use the kitchen sink as your bathroom sink as well.

A really nice shower feature that this trailer is equipped with though is the water miser feature, which allows you to recirculate the water while your waiting for it to warm up, helping to reduce the amount of water you use while boondocking.

4. Airstream Bambi 16RB

Quick Specs

  • Cost:  $18,795
  • Length: 16 Feet
  • Dry Weight:  2,000 Pounds
  • Type of Bathroom:  Wet Bath

Scamp is one of only two RV manufacturers that actually shows up twice on this list for the smallest travel trailers with a bathroom.

Which is a testament to just how small and lightweight Scamp trailers are.

In regards to the bathroom in the 16-foot Scamp trailer, it’s really about the same size as the bathroom in the Scamp 13-foot trailer.

As the bathroom in the 16-foot trailer is in the same location as it is in the 13-foot trailer.

Which is at the front of the trailer to the right of the entry door when you first walk into the trailer.

So if you were hoping for a larger bathroom in the larger Scamp trailer you are out of luck, as Scamp chose to use the extra interior space in the 16-foot version for additional counter and storage space as opposed to a larger bathroom.

6. KZ RV Sportsmen Classic 130RB

For a look at the bathroom in this trailer skip to 1:05 in the video.

Quick Specs

  • Cost:  $12,000
  • Length: 16 Feet
  • Dry Weight:  2,190 Pounds
  • Type of Bathroom:  Dry Bath

One of the cheapest small trailers you can buy that still has a bathroom is the Sportsmen Classic 130RB by KZ RV.

As this affordable small travel trailer has an average price of just $12,000, which is substantially less when compared to other travel trailers of similar size with a bathroom.

In addition, this compact camper from KZ RV is also one of the few small trailers on this list that actually has a dry bath instead of a wet bath.

As the bathroom in this trailer has a separate shower and toilet instead of being combined into one wet area.

7. Riverside Retro 135

For a tour of the bathroom on this trailer skip to the 2:15 time mark.

Quick Specs

  • Cost:  $16,000
  • Length: 16 Feet
  • Dry Weight:  2,540 Pounds
  • Type of Bathroom:  Dry Bath

One of the more unique small travel trailers on this list is the Riverside Retro 135, thanks to its retro styling, which makes you feel like you stepped back in time when you walk inside the trailer.

The 135 model is also one of the smallest trailers that Riverside Retro makes.

But despite this small size, this compact trailer still has a rear corner dry bath with a separate shower and toilet.

Which is always a welcome upgrade compared to the standard wet bath that is usually found in most small travel trailers with bathrooms.

While there is no dedicated bathroom sink in this camper because the trailer is so small and the kitchen is located right next to the bathroom it’s really not that big of a deal to use the kitchen sink instead.

As you have to expect some sort of compromises on a trailer that is only 16 feet in length.

8. Airstream Basecamp 16

For a tour of the bathroom on this trailer skip to 6:11 in the video.

Quick Specs

  • Cost:  $45,000
  • Length: 16 Feet 3 Inches
  • Dry Weight:  2,650 Pounds
  • Type of Bathroom:  Wet Bath

While Airstream is best known for its classic Airstream design.

Airstream actually makes another type of all-aluminum trailer called the Airstream Basecamp that was built for campers that love to camp off-grid and boondock while camping.

Similar in size to the Airstream Bambi 16RB this Airstream Basecamp 16 model is 16 feet 3 inches in length and has a dry weight of 2,650 pounds.

Making it ideal for someone looking for a fully self-contained trailer but still wants the size of a small trailer.

The bathroom in the Basecamp 16 is also similar in size and design to the Bambi 16RB, as it has a mid-trailer two-piece wet bath.

9. Casita Spirit Standard

Bathroom tour at the 3:25 mark in the video.

Quick Specs

  • Cost:  $26,000
  • Length: 17 Feet
  • Dry Weight:  2,210 Pounds
  • Type of Bathroom:  Wet Bath

A trailer that has a very similar look and feel to the Scamp trailer is the Casita as it also uses a two-piece fiberglass hull with no internal framework.

In fact, it’s not uncommon for Casita trailers to actually get confused with the more well-known Scamp trailer.

The wet bath in the Casita Spirit trailer also has a very similar look and feel compared to the Scamp trailer and is located in the same place inside the trailer, which is at the front of the trailer directly to your right when you first walk inside the trailer.
