Today, we’re exploring one of the greatest places in Texas for RVers traveling with kids looking for a luxury RV resort.
Get ready to discover a place where when they say “everything’s bigger in Texas” they mean it, and that includes the pool! (RV Park Contact Info)
Everything’s Bigger in Texas: Including The Pool

This RV park’s big claim to fame is that it has the “world’s largest RV park swimming pool”.
No ordinary campground pool with a sad little patch of concrete, a chain link fence, and a few patio lounge chairs, the pool is a ginormous 650,000-gallon zero-entry pool that was once the largest residential swimming pool in the whole world!
Located in El Campo, Texas, about an hour outside of Houston, this RV Water World is one of the state’s best luxury RV resorts.
The pool, the park’s crown jewel has a 21-foot slide, rope swing, waterfalls, lazy river, swim-up bar, and jacuzzi. Basically turning the RV park into more of a water park with luxury RV camping.
Float Your Cares Away

One of the best features at Lost Lagoon is the 500-foot lazy river, where visitors can drift along its winding watery path. This waterpark feature is great for fun and relaxation. Guests can bring their own floats or purchase tubes in the on-site store.
What makes this lazy river authentically Texas, though, is an Astroworld artifact: a sign from the amusement park’s Thunder River ride. Adding a subtle nostalgic touch for Texas natives who remember the old Six Flags park in Houston.
And for adults, after floating along the lazy river, they can paddle over to the swim-up bar. Enjoying a frozen cocktail without ever having to leave the pool. Now that’s what I call a vacation!
Water Adventures for Every Age

Whether you have young kids, teenagers, or a kid at heart, there are water attractions for every age.
For the little ones, there’s Kiddie Lagoon, which offers a zero-entry separate pool area that features slides, water features, and climbing structures designed specifically for younger swimmers. Plus, it has a giant water dump that kids love.
El Campo Lost Lagoon RV Resort didn’t forget about the adults in this area though, as there’s plenty of shaded seating for parents to relax while supervising.
Older thrill-seekers can enjoy the water park’s twisting waterslides that send riders plunging into the main pool. For those who want to test their balance skills, the resort’s Flowrider surfing experience is great. Yep, this luxury RV resort even has a surfing attraction right in the middle of Texas. Just be aware that surfers need to be at least 48 inches tall and there is an extra charge for this activity.
If there was one water attraction that stands above the rest though, it would have to be the Wibit Sports Park, which is a floating obstacle course that challenges guests to run, jump, climb, and slide across a water-based playground. Life jackets are required (and provided), and participants must be at least 6 years old and 43″ tall to enjoy this attraction.
Beyond the Water: Activities for Land Lovers

If water isn’t your thing, don’t worry, as the El Campo Lost Lagoon also offers plenty of activities for land lovers. Starting with pickleball and basketball courts as well as a fenced dog park where four-legged family members can run freely.

For families with energetic children, the playground and arcade (coin-operated) are great options. As well as the Gaga Ball pit (a variation of dodgeball played in an octagonal pit). There’s also a Remote Control Car Track, you must bring your own RC cars though, as the resort doesn’t provide them.
One of the more unique land activities at this Texas luxury RV resort is the Assay Station, where guests can pan for treasures in an authentic sluice, which is a fun nod to the state’s history and suitable for all ages.
Finally, if fishing is your thing, there is also a catch-and-release fishing pond on the property, which offers a more slow-paced peaceful option from the more high-energy activities.
Luxurious Accommodations for Every Type of Traveler

While El Campo Lost Lagoon offers over 200 premium concrete RV sites with water, sewer hookups, 30 and 50-amp electric, and free Wi-Fi, they also cater to travelers without RVs through various accommodation options.
Including cottages which are 399-square-foot homes with two bedrooms (including a loft), a full kitchen, and a bathroom. They come completely furnished with clean linens and can sleep up to six.
For those wanting a premium view, the resort also has Perry’s Penthouses, offering 1,500 square feet of luxury living space with a bedroom, bunk beds in the living area, a full kitchen, a dining area, and a bathroom. These can also accommodate up to six.
Also, if you have a large family and want everyone to stay together there are two great options on the property. The first is what the resort calls the Pearl mansion, which is an impressive 7,329-square-foot luxury home with five bedrooms, four and a half baths, plus a bonus suite. With formal dining, a grand staircase, and a game room, this palatial accommodation can host up to 25 people!
The second option is the Homestead, a smaller but still impressive 2,769-square-foot house with four bedrooms and three baths that accommodates up to 12.
Dining Options When You Don’t Feel Like Cooking

For those who prefer to cook while RVing, each site offers BBQ pits and all the necessary hookups. If you’re like me though, after a day of fun in the sun you might want to skip the cooking and cleanup.
Luckily if you’re staying at the El Campo Lost Lagoon RV Resort that’s no problem as there are plenty of dining options when you don’t feel like cooking.
Including Chester’s Cafe, which offers a variety of appetizers and simple entrees with a full-service bar. The Cafe even has a convenient walk-up window accessible directly from the pool area where visitors can grab a bite or a snow cone to beat the summer Texas heat.
There’s also an on-site convenience store in the office with snacks, drinks, RV supplies, swimming gear, souvenirs, and personal care products for forgotten essentials.
Events & Activities That Create Memories

Another great thing about the Lost Lagoon is its commitment to creating a community atmosphere through events and activities, which, in my opinion, is what RV life is all about.
The resort hosts regular events throughout the year, including Cinco De Mayo Fajita Cookoffs, Best Margarita Contests, Crawfish and Texas Barbecue Cookoffs, and the always-crowd favorite pool concerts, where live bands play to a crowd lounging in and around the pool.
For families, there are also planned activities like games, crafts, family fun hours, s’mores by the pool, and fishing tournaments.
What Makes the El Campo Lost Lagoon One of the Best Luxury RV Resorts in Texas

The El Campo Lost Lagoon offers an impressive array of luxury and amenities wrapped up in a family-friendly package.
The resort is well-suited for multi-generational families, with activities catering to grandparents, parents, and children, making it great for family reunions or vacations.
The resort has been open since May 2019 and has already earned several accolades, including the 2024 USA Large RV Park of the Year award by the Outdoor Hospitality Industry Awards.
Also, their attention to detail and commitment to customer service is reflected in their 4.9-star status on Google.
