5th wheels are some of the longest and biggest RVs on the road today, rivaled in size only by large luxury Class A RVs and large travel trailer park models.
As large 5th-wheel campers can easily be over 40 feet long, and that’s just the length of the camper.
Because while there is some overlap between the truck and fifth wheel, the tow vehicle on a 5th wheel will usually add another 15 feet to the RV setup.
Meaning that the largest 5th wheel setups can have a total truck and trailer length of up to 60 feet!
Making the total length almost as long as a semi-truck, which typically has a total length of around 70 feet.
If you’re curious how long the largest 5th wheel campers are though, make sure to keep reading.
Because in the rest of this blog post, we’ll be discussing the seven longest 5th-wheel campers you can buy!

Making this absolutely massive 5th wheel more than two feet longer than the second-longest 5th wheel on the market today.
Unlike the rest of the longest 5th wheels on this list though, New Horizons doesn’t just make one model and trim level that’s the longest.
As New Horizons actually make three different trim levels of the 48 FT Majestic, including the M48IK4S, the M48RL6S, and the M48RLMP5S.
Plus, three toy hauler versions of the fifth wheel, including the M48CKT4S, the M48TY3S, and the M48TY4S.

New Horizons 48 FT Majestic M48RLMP5S Floorplan
Regardless of which 48-foot trim level or floorplan you go with though, you can rest assured that you will own the absolutely biggest and badest 5th wheel on the road.
As the 48 FT Majestic is not only the longest and largest 5th wheel you can buy but also one of the most luxurious and well-equipped.
As the New Horizons 48 FT Majestic offers what seems like an endless amount of premium and high-end features.
Both on the exterior of the camper as well as on the interior.
Starting on the exterior, which features a custom-built chassis, a PVC roof, a hydraulic leveling system, hydraulic slide mechanisms, and full-body paint.
And finishing on the interior, which offers custom all-wood cabinetry, a premium electrical system, high-end appliances, and some of the nicest finishes you’ll find in an RV.
All this size and premium features don’t come cheap though, as the fully customizable 48 FT Majestic has a starting price of just under $300,000.
Making it one of the most expensive 5th wheels you can buy.
For those with the means though, who are unwilling to compromise on size or features, the New Horizons 48 FT Majestic is definitely worth considering.

2nd Longest 5th Wheel Camper: Dutchmen RV Yukon 421FL
Quick Specs
- Average Price: $80,000
- Length: 45 Feet 8 Inches
- Dry Weight: 15,150 Pounds
- Hitch Weight: 3,171 Pounds
- Slide-Outs: 5
- Sleeping Capacity: 6
The Dutchmen RV Yukon 421FL is the second longest 5th-wheel camper overall.
However, it actually holds the first designation for several subclasses of the longest fifth wheel, including the longest production 5th wheel and the longest front living room fifth wheel.
As the Yukon 421FL offers a front living room layout instead of the more common front bedroom layout.
Providing several unique benefits to this extra-large fifth wheel.
Including a more prominent well-rounded entertainment/living area, easier access to the kitchen area, and a more spacious primary bedroom and bathroom.
And speaking of the primary bed/bath you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more spacious and well-equipped option.
As the rear bedroom and mid-bath take up the entire back half of the fifth wheel, which allows for class-leading interior space as well as features.
Where this camper really shines though is in its main living/entertaining areas.
As the Yukon 421FL features a fully-equipped mid kitchen with a center island, residential-level stainless steel appliances, solid surface countertops, and a free-standing kitchen table with seating for four.
Dutchmen RV Yukon 421FL Floorplan
As well as a huge front living room with dual opposing slide-outs, comfortable seating for up to six, dual opposing convertible sleeper sofas, and theatre seating.
Which is positioned directly across from a massive entrainment center that spans the entire front wall of the camper and features, tons of cabinets, a huge TV, and a built-in fireplace.
The thing you might have noticed even more than the front living room though is the average cost of this 5th wheel.
As the Dutchmen RV Yukon 421FL has an average price of $80,000, making it almost $220,000 cheaper compared to the above longest 5th-wheel camper.
Which might at first have you scratching your head.
As the two fifth wheels have similar lengths and seem to offer a lot of the same features and amenities.
The reason for the huge price disparity though is due to the fact that one is a production fifth wheel, while the other is a fully custom fifth wheel.
As the Yukon 421FL is a production-level fifth wheel, while the above Majestic M48RLMP5S is a fully custom 5th wheel.
Meaning that it’s built and designed to the specification of each buyer.
Which allows for a lot more personalization and customization but also increases cost exponentially.
I will say though, even for a large production 5th wheel, the Yukon 421FL is exceptionally affordable.
As most large luxury production 5th wheels will usually cost anywhere from $120,000 to $150,000, as you’ll see later in this blog post.

Putting this fifth wheel into the 1-ton truck category.
Meaning as is the case with all 5th wheels on this list that you’ll need a 1-ton truck to safely tow the camper, such as a Ford F-350, Chevrolet 3500, or RAM 3500.
Due to the camper’s extremely heavy weight, which can top out as high as 18,832 pounds, if the fifth wheel is fully loaded up to its gross vehicle weight rating.
CrossRoads RV Redwood RW4150RD Floorplan
Moving beyond its massive size and heavy weight though, this 5th wheel offers a great combination of luxury features and affordability.
Making the camper perfect for those who don’t want to break the bank, but still want a full-time, top-of-the-line 5th wheel.
Because while there is nothing cheap about the Redwood RW4150RD, which has an average price of $145,000, it seems like a downright bargain when compared to the New Horizons 48 FT Majestic M48RLMP5S or the Luxe Elite 44FL from above.
Despite its more affordable price though, the CrossRoads Redwood RW4150RD still offers many of the same premium features that are typically only found on those types of ultra-luxury custom 5th wheels.
Including optional full-body paint, frameless dual-pane windows, front and rear insulated fiberglass caps, fully finished heated pass-through basement storage, dual power awnings, and insulated slam latch baggage doors.

Including such features as an enclosed underbelly, enclosed and heated water lines, holding tank heating pads, seamless residential insulated heating ducts, and an energy efficient 35,000 BTU furnace.
Allowing the camper to be used year-round.
Making it ideal for full-time RVers that need an RV that can handle all seasons and weather conditions.

Forest River Riverstone 442MC Floorplan
The rear den in this large 5th wheel is just the start of its unique features though, as the Riverstone 442MC actually offers several other unique and notable features as well.
