There are four RV classes to choose from, if you’re looking for a 3-bedroom RV, including travel trailers, 5th wheels, Class A motorhomes, and destination trailers.

- Average Cost: $58,500
- Length: 38 Feet
- Dry Weight: 10,338 Pounds
- Slide-Outs: 4

- Length: 43 Feet
- Dry Weight: 14,300 Pounds

Luxury 5th wheels often cost well over $100,000, allowing only those with substantial means to enjoy their next-level comfort, size, and features.
However, this didn’t sit well with Keystone.
So they set out to design and build a more affordable luxury 5th-wheel camper.
And the result was the Keystone Avalanche lineup, which offers more affordable pricing, 12 different floorplans, a wide variety of sleeping capacities, and premium features usually only found on higher-end luxury 5th wheels.
Keystone RV Avalanche 390DS Floorplan
Such as frameless panoramic windows, a four-season weather package, one-touch leveling, residential-style appliances, and dual AC units.
And one of the most popular floorplans in the Avalanche lineup is the Keystone Avalanche 390DS, which is the largest in the lineup.
As this massive 5th wheel from Keystone offers three separate bedrooms, two full baths, and a large mid-living room with high ceilings.
As well as premium finishes, two separate entrances, and loads of storage space, including a large owner’s closet in the front bedroom with washer and dryer hookups.

6. Dutchmen Voltage Triton 4271

- Average Cost: $100,000
- Length: 46 Feet 4 Inches
- Dry Weight: 15,103 Pounds
- Slide-Outs: 4
- Sleeping Capacity: 10
- Bathroom: 1 Full Bath + 1 Half Bath
The Dutchmen Voltage Triton 4271 is no ordinary 5th wheel, as it’s actually a luxury 5th wheel toy hauler that has a large rear garage.
Allowing you to bring dirt bikes, ATVs, or a golf cart with you while camping.
Even with the added functionality of the garage though, Dutchmen still managed to fit three separate bedrooms into the camper as well as a massive 10-person sleeping capacity.
Ensuring that no matter how big your family or camping party is that there will always be enough room for everyone to have a comfortable place to lay their head at night.
Dutchmen Voltage Triton 4271 Floorplan
And thanks to its toy hauler design, the Voltage Triton 4271 truly has three clearly defined bedrooms.
Including the toy hauler space itself, as the garage is equipped with a lay-flat Happy-Jack power bunk with a sofa and tabletop that provides a completely closed-off bedroom from the rest of the trailer.
In addition, this 5th wheel also offers a mid-bunkhouse configuration, with a sofa bed that provides the second bedroom.
And finally, the owner’s suite with its giant king bed provides the third and final bedroom.
However, as is the case with other campers on this list, there are additional sleeping spaces in the camper that could be considered a 4th bedroom.
For example, this fifth wheel’s upper loft area above the mid-bunkhouse or the loft area above the garage could be considered another bedroom.
As these loft spaces provide extra sleeping areas that are completely separate from the other bedrooms in the 5th wheel.

7. Thor Motor Coach Challenger 37DS
Quick Specs
- Average Cost: $170,000
- Length: 39 Feet 1 Inch (without Ladder)
- Gross Vehicle Weight Rating: 24,000 Pounds
- Slide-Outs: 3
- Sleeping Capacity: 10
- Bathroom: 2 Full Baths
The first motorhome on this list with three bedrooms is the Thor Motor Coach Challenger 37DS.
Which in fairness might be more accurately described as having three separate spaces for sleeping as opposed to three separate bedrooms.
As the only well-defined bedroom on the coach is the rear bedroom, which offers a king-size bed and its own full bath.
But I do think a few concessions have to be made when looking for three bedrooms in a space less than 40 feet long and only 8 feet 5 inches wide.
Thor Motor Coach Challenger 37DS Floorplan
With that being said though, if you’re looking for a motorhome with three separate sleeping spaces, the Thor Challenger 37DS has you covered.
As this Class A RV features mid-double bunk beds with sliding pocket doors for privacy, as well as three extra sleeping spaces in the main living area that could double as a third bedroom.
Including a convertible dream dinette booth, a 68-inch wide jack knife sofa, and a drop-down bunk over the cab.
It’s not just the large sleeping capacity that makes the Challenger 37DS so great though, as this coach also offers plenty of space as well as amenities to comfortably accommodate large families and groups as well.
As the Challenger 37DS has two full bathrooms, an L-shaped kitchen with lots of counter space and a residential-style fridge, and plenty of space to spread out, thanks to three large slide-outs.

8. Coachmen Sportscoach RD 402TS
Quick Specs
- Average Cost $275,000
- Length: 41 Feet 1 Inch
- Gross Vehicle Weight Rating: 32,000 Pounds
- Slide-Outs: 3
- Sleeping Capacity: 10
- Bathroom: 2 Full Baths
The Coachmen Sportscoach RD 402TS has a very similar layout compared to the Thor Challenger 37DS from above.
As they both offer a rear owner’s suite, mid bunk beds, and additional sleeping space in the main living area that can be used as a third bedroom.
One big difference you might have noticed though is that the Coachmen Sportscoach RD 402TS is priced at $275,000, while the Thor Challenger 37DS is priced at $170,000.
Making the Sportscoach RD 402TS, $105,000 more expensive compared to the Challenger 37DS.
Coachmen Sportscoach RD 402TS Floorplan
However, there’s a good reason for this, because, despite their similar floorplans and sizes, these two motorhomes have several key differences.
And the two biggest differences are their engines as well as their chassis.
Because while the Thor Challenger has a 7.3L front gas engine and uses a Ford F-53 chassis, the Coachmen Sportscoach RD uses a far superior ISB Cummins rear diesel engine and a raised rail Freightliner chassis.
So while they‘re both popular large Class A motorhomes offering lots of interior space and three separate sleeping areas, the Coachmen Sportcoash RD 402TS is a far more premium and luxury Class A motorhome, which is reflected in the price.
It’s worth noting though that despite the higher price of the Sportscoach RD 402TS over the Challenger 37DS, the Coachmen Sportscoach RD is still the cheapest diesel pusher you can buy.
For more info on the Coachmen Sportscoach RD 402TS, check out Coachmen’s website by clicking here.

10. K-Z Sportsmen 362BH

- Length: 40 Feet 9 Inches
- Dry Weight: 8,280 Pounds
- Slide-Outs: 2
- Sleeping Capacity: 7
- Bathroom: 3-Piece Dry Bath
The K-Z Sportsmen 362BH is the first destination trailer on this list that offers 3 bedrooms.
But you might be wondering what a destination trailer is.
A destination trailer or park model RV is a trailer designed to be parked at a specific location for an extended period of time, instead of being used as a “travel” trailer, due to its larger size and configuration.
However, some RVs don’t fit perfectly into either the park model or the travel trailer category.
As they offer a blend of features from both RV classes, providing a hybrid between the two.
And a prime example of this hybrid is the K-Z Sportsmen 362BH.
K-Z Sportsmen 362BH Floorplan
As the Sportsmen 362BH’s larger size and sliding glass door could easily put it into the RV park model class, however, because the trailer also has onboard batteries and holding tanks, it’s also a completely self-contained trailer, allowing it to be classified as a travel trailer as well.
Regardless of whether you classify this K-Z RV as a park model or a travel trailer though, there is no argument that this is one extremely capable RV, allowing for either long-term camping or full-time living.
And to illustrate this point, you need only to look at its floorplan, which has been optimized for long-term camping and full-time living.
Thanks to its large open living room, rear owner’s suite, ample seating, and versatile front bunkhouse with a dinette booth, upper bunk, and bunk beds.
For more information on the K-Z Sportsmen 362BH, check out K-Z RV’s website by clicking here.

FAQs
The number of bedrooms in an RV can range from zero to three, based on its size and configuration. However, most RVs typically have either one bedroom or none.
While many RVs have a single bedroom or none at all, there are larger and more luxurious models that offer multiple bedrooms to accommodate larger families or groups.
All camper types offer larger models and trim levels, however, the four largest that offer the most room, include the Class A motorhome, the 5th wheel, the travel trailer, and the destination trailer.
While some of the largest RV models, especially large bunkhouse models can sleep ten people, it’s rare, as most travel trailers and motorhomes will usually sleep between two and six people.
