For years Winnebago lacked a travel trailer geared more towards outdoor adventurers and enthusiasts.
Until 2019, when Winnebago released the Winnebago Hike, which was built from the ground up to accommodate the outdoor active lifestyle.
But if you’re thinking about buying a Winnebago Hike, your probably wondering what one costs?
The Winnebago Hike costs anywhere from $27,000 to $32,000 depending on the model. As Winnebago makes five different models of the Hike, that offer varying floorplans, lengths, and weights.

1. Winnebago Hike H170S

The Winnebago Hike H170S is the cheapest Hike you can buy, with an average price of $27,000.
Making the Hike H170S a great choice for anyone shopping on a budget.
But just because the Hike H170S is the cheapest version of the Hike that doesn’t mean that’s it some lesser version of the camper.
As the Hike H170S has all the same great features as the rest of the Hike lineup.
Including off-road tires and fenders, higher ride height, a large diamond plate exterior locker, and a unique exoskeleton that allows you to attach bikes, kayaks, and other tools to the Hike’s exterior.

In addition, the Hike H170S also features a well-equipped slide-out kitchenette, a two-person convertible dinette booth, and a large east-to-west 60-inch by 74-inch bed.
But one of the best features about the H170S floorplan is its bathroom, as it offers one of the largest bathrooms out of all the Hike floorplans, thanks to its large rear bath.
Giving you plenty of room to get ready for a day of outdoor adventuring and activities.
2. Winnebago Hike H171DB

The Winnebago Hike H171DB is the second cheapest Hike available, with an average price that’s just under the cheapest H170S from above, at $28,500.
However, despite their similar price and weight and exact same length, the H171DB and H170S have very different interiors.

As the Hike H171DB features a large rear convertible dinette booth, which provides much more seating room inside the camper compared to the H170S.
However, as a compromise to the additional seating and larger dinette booth, the H171DB has a much smaller mid bath configuration, compared to the H170S.
Despite the smaller bathroom size though, the H171DB still has a full three-piece dry bath, which is the case for all Winnebago Hike floorplans.
3. Winnebago Hike H172BH

One of the most popular floorplans on the Winnebago Hike is the H172BH.

Making it ideal for families or for anyone that needs additional sleeping capacity, while at the campsite.

Additionally, like the H171DB from above, the H172BH also features a smaller mid-three-piece dry bath, as well as a full-featured kitchenette that’s built on a slide-out that provides a kitchen sink, two-burner propane cooktop, microwave/convection oven, and a good size mini-fridge with freezer.
Allowing you to bring all the comforts of home with you, no matter where the road takes you.
4. Winnebago Hike H210RB

The second most expensive Winnebago Hike model is the H210RB, which offers a longer 25-foot length as well as a double axle.
With that extra length and double axle though, also comes extra weight.
As the Winnebago Hike H210RB has a dry weight of 4,360 pounds, making it almost a thousand pounds heavier compared to the smaller and shorter Hikes from above.
Which means the Winnebago Hike H210RB will require a tow vehicle with substantially more towing capacity in order to accommodate its heavier weight.

But if you have a tow vehicle that can handle the extra weight and don’t mind pulling a longer travel trailer, the Hike 210RB offers substantially more living space.
As it gives the camper a much more open and spacious feel, despite the fact, that it still has the same 6.5-foot width that the shorter Hikes do.
In addition, the longer length also allows everyone a little more room to spread out inside the camper, which can really come in handy on those rainy days, when you’re stuck inside the trailer.
5. Winnebago Hike H215HS

The most expensive Hike is the Winnebago Hike H215HS, which offers a longer 25-foot length, a double axle, and two large separate sleeping areas.
Including a large rear bed with a sliding privacy door as well as a large front convertible u-shaped dinette booth.
Allowing this larger Hike camper to easily sleep 4 campers at a time, making it ideal for families or for two couples camping together.

In addition, this Winnebago Hike offers a good size kitchenette built on a slide-out that provides a kitchen sink, two-burner propane cooktop, microwave/convection oven, and a good size mini-fridge with freezer.
And while this particular floorplan does have the smaller mid bath, instead of the larger rear bath, the bathroom is still surprisingly spacious.
What Affects the Price of the Winnebago Hike?
There can be as much as a $5,000 price difference between the least and most expensive Winnebago Hikes, which can be a big deal for RVers shopping on a budget.
As this $5,000 price difference, can add as much as $100 to the monthly payment, for those planning to finance the RV.
So, in order to figure out what affects the price of the Winnebago Hike, we’ve highlighted the three biggest factors that affect its price.
Floorplan or Layout
One of the biggest factors that can affect the price of the Winnebago Hike is its floor plan or layout.
For example, the smaller Hike H170S floorplan, which offers a smaller dinette booth and less sleeping capacity costs substantially less, compared to the larger Hike H215HS, which offers a larger u-shaped dinette booth and additional sleeping capacity.
Size
As is the case with most travel trailers and campers, size can have a big impact on the cost of the RV.
Because as a general rule of the thumb, the larger an RV is, the more expensive that RV will be, with the exception of perhaps Class B RVs or camper vans.
And the Winnebago Hike is no exception to this rule, as the smaller Hike models such as the H170S and H171DB are usually several thousand dollars less, compared to the larger Hike models like the H210RB and the H215HS.

The final factor that can affect the cost of the Winnebago Hike is how the Hike is optioned out.
Because while the standard Winnebago Hike comes very well equipped, there are two packages for the Hike that add even more upgrades and features to the camper but also add additional costs.
Which includes the Comfort Tech Package and the Explorer Package.

How Much Does the Winnebago Hike 100 Cost?
While the Hike 100 shares a similar name to the standard Winnebago Hike’s from above, the Hike 100 is actually a completely new and separate lineup of Winnebago trailers.
That will take its place alongside other Winnebago trailer lineups in 2022, which is when the Hike 100 will be available for purchase.
Geared towards outdoor adventures like the Winnebago Hike, the Hike 100 will offer many of the same features offered on the standard larger Hike campers, just in a smaller lighter package.
As the Hike 100 will be available in five different floorplans that will all have lengths of 15 feet 9 inches and a dry weight of 2,700 pounds.
Making the Winnebago Hike 100 the perfect travel trailer for smaller trucks and SUVs that have a more limited towing capacity.
In regards to the cost though, Winnebago has not released any official pricing as of yet for the Hike 100.
However, it will more than likely fall between $22,000 and $26,000, based on the fact that the larger Winnebago Hikes have a price range between $27,000 and $32,000.
Does the Winnebago Hike Have AC?
The Winnebago Hike needs to be equipped with the Comfort Tech package from Winnebago, in order to have AC,
As the Comfort Tech pack includes a 13,500 BTU low profile roof-mounted AC among other comfort features.
It’s a real rarity to find a Winnebago Hike though, that’s not equipped with the Comfort Tech package and AC, as RV dealers order the Hike almost exclusively with the Comfort Tech package.
In fact, out of all the Winnebago Hikes I’ve seen, I’ve never seen one that didn’t have the Comfort Tech package and a roof-mounted AC.
How Much Does a Winnebago Hike Weigh?
The Winnebago Hike has a dry weight that ranges from 3,502 pounds to 4,360 pounds depending on the length and model of the trailer.
However, it’s important to keep in mind that the dry weight of a camper does not typically give a very accurate picture of the true weight of the camper.
As no one pulls a completely empty travel trailer behind them when they’re going camping.
As most RVers will usually load anywhere from 500 to 1,000 pounds of supplies and gear into the camper.
So if you’re trying to decide if your particular tow vehicle can pull a Winnebago Hike, it’s important to keep in mind that a fully loaded Winnibag Hike will often weigh between 4,000 and 5,000 pounds.
What Vehicles Can Tow A Winnebago Hike?
While the Winnebago Hike is not as light as an ultra-lightweight camper, such as a teardrop camper or stand-up camper, which often have weights of less than 2,000 pounds.
The Winnebago Hike is still considered a pretty lightweight travel trailer, which means that it can be pulled by most full-size trucks and SUVs as well as some mid-size SUVs.
