Winnebago Travato

The Winnebago Travato is one of the most popular camper vans on the road today.

And holds the unique distinction of being the top-selling camper van in North America, thanks to its affordable price, well laid out interior, feature-rich design, and extended camping capability.

If you’re thinking about buying one though, you’re probably wondering what the Winnebago Travato costs?

The Winnebago Travato costs anywhere from $115,000 to $145,000, depending on its trim level and how it’s optioned out.  On average though, the Winnebago Travato will cost $130,000.

If you’re looking for a more detailed answer though, make sure to keep reading.

As we go over not only what affects the price of the Winnebago Travato, but also how the price of the Travato compares to other Class B RVs, and what you can expect to pay for a used one.

Factors that Affect the Cost of the Winnebago Travato

There are four main factors that affect the cost of the Winnebago Travato, including trim level, floorplan, off-grid power source, and how it’s optioned out.

Travato Trim Levels

There are four trim levels available on the Winnebago Travato, including the 59G, the 59K, the 59GL, and the 59KL.

And these trim levels affect just about every aspect of the Travato, including not only its price but also its floorplan, as well as its build-out.

With the Travato 59K being the cheapest and the 59GL being the most expensive.

Winnebago Travato Trim Levels (Least to Most Expensive)

Model/Trim Average Cost
1. Travato 59K $115,000
2. Travato 59G $120,000
3. Travato 59KL $140,000
4. Travato 59GL $145,000

Travato Floorplans

While there are four different trim levels on the Travato, there are only two different floorplans options.

As the Travato 59G and 59GL share the same floorplan, while the Travato 59K and 59KL share the same floorplan.

Winnebago Travato 59G and 59GL Floorplan
Winnebago Travato 59G and 59GL Floorplan

With the Travato 59G and 59GL floorplan, featuring an independent lounge and bedroom area, a rear corner three-piece wet bath, full galley, dinette table with seating for four, and a flip-up murphy bed in the rear for extra storage space.

While the Travato 59K and 59KL floorplan feature an open and spacious twin bed layout, a rear two-piece wet bath, a large wardrobe, a full galley, and dinette space for two.

Travato Off-Grid Power Sources

The Winnebago Travato can be equipped in one of two ways when it comes to its main off-grid power source.

Because while all Travato’s trim levels come standard with solar power, the Travato 59G and 59K are set up very differently compared to the Travato 59GL and 59KL when it comes to their electrical systems and main source of off-grid power.

As the 59G and 59K are set up more like a traditional RV, which relies heavily on an onboard gas generator to provide long-term off-grid power and off-grid power to onboard appliances that require more electricity, such as the AC and microwave.

While the 59GL and 59KL use a powerful lithium energy system to provide long-term off-grid power and to provide off-grid power to devices that require larger amounts of electricity.

Allowing the 59GL and 59KL to be powered completely by battery power while off-grid, instead of relying on a noisy gas generator.

However, the lithium energy system doesn’t come cheap on the Travato, as the 59GL and 59KL cost on average $20,000 more compared to the 59G and 59K.

Travato Optional Features

The final factor that can have an impact on the overall cost of the Winnebago Travato is how the Travato is optioned out.

Because while all Travatos come very well-equipped with numerous standard features and amenities, there are some optional upgrades that can add additional conveniences as well as costs to the Travato.
