Best Class B RVs (From Shortest to Longest)

Class B RV Cost

Class B RVs are by far the smallest and most nimble motorhome on the market today, which is one of the main reasons why they’re one of the fastest-growing segments in the RV industry.

As they are not only the shortest motorhomes on the road today but also the most narrow as well as the lightest.

Which makes Class B RVs the perfect choice for RVers looking for an easy-to-drive motorhome that will fit into tighter spaces.

Because when it comes to RVs and driving, the shorter, narrower, and lighter it is, the easier it will be to drive.

But it’s not all good news for the Class B RV though, as its smaller size can also be a negative.

As Class B RVs tend to be very small on the inside and have reduced sleeping capacities compared to larger motorhomes, making them less than ideal for families and longer-term camping.

1. Winnebago Revel 44E

  • Price:  $190,000
  • Class:  B
  • Length:  19 Feet 7 Inches

The Winnebago Revel, which is built on the premium Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis is the shortest Class B you can buy, and one of only a few Class B motorhomes that’s less than 20 feet.

Which actually improves the off-road handling on the Revel, as its shorter length and wheelbase allows the Revel to more easily navigate rough terrain and obstacles.

But it’s not just the shorter length and wheelbase that makes the Revel great for getting off the beaten path.

As the Winnebago Revel also offers on-demand 4 wheel drive with hi/low range, electronic stability, and traction control, and can even be equipped with high-performance BF Goodrich® KO2 all-terrain tires.

  • Gross Vehicle Weight Rating:  8,900 Pounds

However, there are some Class B motorhomes like the Winnebago Solis 59P that provide an additional pop-top sleeping loft on top of the van, allowing the van to sleep up to four.

Winnebago Solis Pop-Top

Which is one of the main reasons why this camper van from Winnebago is so popular, as it allows a family of four to easily camp and sleep inside the Solis, without having to sacrifice comfort.

Beyond its four-person sleeping capacity though, the Winnebago Solis 59P, which is built on the RAM Promaster chassis, is also a really well-equipped camper van.

As it offers tons of comfort and convenience features including a two-piece wet bath, a four-person dinette booth, and a full-featured kitchenette.

In addition, the Winnebago Solis 59P is also one of the cheapest Class B RVs you can buy, with an average retail price of just $85,000.

And while this might not seem like that big of a deal, since it’s only 1 foot 4 inches longer compared to the Solis 59P, in reality, it actually makes a pretty big difference.

As that little extra length provides more than 5% of extra living space inside the camper van, which helps the Sequence 20A feel a little more spacious and a little less cramped when inside the camper.

Thor Motor Coach 20A Interior

Beyond the extra length though, both the Winnebago Solis 59P and Thor Motor Coach Sequence 20A are pretty similar motorhomes, as they both have roughly the same floorplan as well as features and amenities.
